Town Hall
The Town Council employs five full-time and nine part-time members of staff to carry out its duties.
Congleton Town Council also employs a team of seasonal paddling pool attendants.

David McGifford
Chief Officer
David joined the Town Council as Chief Officer in January 2016. He is employed full time and oversees all the workings of the Town Council.

Jackie MacArthur
Communities and Marketing Manager and Deputy Chief Officer
Jackie is responsible for the Town Council communications, campaigns and promoting Congleton and working with partner organisations to improve the town's offer. Jackie works full time.

Jackie Potts
Support Manager - RFO
Jackie took up the role of Support Manager in April 2008. Jackie works 30 hours a week and is particularly responsible for the smooth running of the committees, the office and the finances. Jackie is not usually in the office on a Friday.

Linda Minshull
Civic Administrative Officer
Linda joined Congleton Town Council in 2002, her responsibilities include:- Organising Civic events, co-ordinating the Mayor's Diary, the Youth Committee and Planning Committee Administration. Linda works 21 hours a week, usually 9-3pm Monday - Wednesday.

Sue Trow
Administrative Assistant
Sue assists David and Jackie and has responsibilities for the purchase ledger and web site. Sue works 20 hours - usually all day Monday, Tuesday and Friday until 3.00pm.

Andrea Morris-Wild
Administrative Assistant
Andrea also assists David and Jackie and has responsibilities for Committee Papers and Town Hall Bookings. Andrea works 17 hours - Wednesday 9am - 2.30pm,Thursday 9am - 1pm and 9am - 5pm on Friday.

Mike Smith
Congleton Partnership Co-ordinator
The major part of Mike's role is as administrator for the Congleton Partnership. To co-ordinate its activities, projects and events while supporting the various groups attached to the Partnership Executive. Mike works 22 hrs a week, normally Monday - Wednesday

Martha reports to the Town Centre Manager, Jackie MacArthur. This is a full time position.

Mark Worthington
Town Hall Manager
This is a full time position reporting to the Town Centre & Marketing Manager. Marks main duties are to ensure that the Town Hall is maintained and run to a high standard with the help of his team of caretakers.

Tim Muston

Tim works 15hrs a week and reports to Mark Worthington. Tim's main responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and well being of the Town Hall and to facilitate its use.

Pete works 9hrs a week and reports to Mark Worthington. Pete's main responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and well being of the Town Hall and to facilitate its use.

Rowan Nightingale

Rowan works 24hrs a week and reports to Mark Worthington. Rowan's main responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and well being of the Town Hall and to facilitate its use.

Ruth Burgess
Streetscape Development Manager
Ruth oversees the Operatives who carry out the Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing work throughout Congleton. She also supervises, monitors and reviews the implementation of contracts to ensure high standards of maintenance, safety, quality of services and value for money are delivered. During the summer months Ruth is also responsible for the smooth running of the Paddling Pool. She works full time and is based primarily in the Town Hall and reports to the Chief Officer.

Dave Foster

Dave works in a team who carry out ground maintenance works throughout Congleton, this involves:- Shrub maintenance, Grass & Hedge Cutting and the bedding in Summer and Winter. The team also check the play areas for damage and litter on a weekly basis. Dave works Full Time.

James Bibby

Andrew has a dual role which is season dependent, in the Summer he helps where, he is needed for example:- summer bedding and grass cutting. Andrew also has a schedule for the main rural roads throughout Congleton, aiming to keep them free from Litter and Fly Tipping. In the Winter he helps carry out the rural litter picking, he works Full Time.

Terry Davies
Streetscape Operative
Terry keeps Congleton free from litter and fly tipping on the roads and Council owned land, on average Terry empties between 100 - 120 bins a day. He also helps when needed in the Town Centre and with the toilets. Terry works Full Time.

Mark Stubbs

Mark keeps Congleton free from litter and fly tipping on the roads and Council owned land. Mark empties on average 120 bins each day. He ensures that the town is a clean and safe place to live and work.

Jack Appleton
Apprentice Streetscape Operative
Jack is an Apprentice who works alongside the Streetscape Operative Team in Congleton Park and Town, ensuring the upkeep of the areas, keeping it free from litter and making sure that the shrubs and grass are kept neat and tidy.
