The NSPCC Congleton Toy Appeal is back, and local residents are being asked to help spread joy this festive season. Boots on Barn Road, Congleton Chronicle, Congleton Town Council, and Plus Dane Housing are partnering once again to collect toys for children and teens across the town.
Last year, Congleton’s kindness resulted in 500 toys donated, reaching families who needed a helping hand to make Christmas special. Donations can be dropped off at any of the partner collection points until Friday 5 December 2025.
Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Robert Brittain said: “It’s heartwarming to see the people of Congleton come together each year to support this appeal. A simple toy can lift spirits and create a magical moment for a child. I urge everyone to donate what they can and help make Christmas brighter for our community.”
For more than a decade, the Congleton NSPCC Toy Appeal has been running successfully with the continued support of the long-standing partners. The appeal relies on the experience and local knowledge of partners in particular Plus Dane Housing who ensure the toys reach the families who have been referred and truly need them. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference.
Residents are encouraged to donate new toys only and do not wrap them. Toys will be sorted and prepared for delivery starting 11 December 2025, ensuring a festive surprise for children across Congleton.
Thanks to Congleton Rotary, £1,000 has been contributed to purchase additional toys to enrich the appeal this year.
