Quickstep it to the town hall for last chance tickets

A final chance remains to get tickets for Congleton Town Mayor’s charity event of the year. The ‘Strictly’ fundraiser will take place on Sunday 26 February in the beautiful surroundings of Congleton Town Hall from 2.30pm-5.30pm.

A fun afternoon of dancing, afternoon tea and entertainment is planned to raise funds for the town mayor’s local charities. The last few tickets are available from the Congleton Information Centre priced at £20 per person.

The ticket price includes a traditional afternoon tea, indulge on a selection of sandwiches, a variety of cakes, freshly baked scones and tea or coffee. Strictly Come Dancing will be hosted by well known duo Andrew & Jenny Bell of Love to Dance. Local talent will be showcased with a String Quartet performance from Congleton Youth Orchestra. Trinity Amateur Operatic Society will get guests ‘All Shook Up’ singing some well known Elvis numbers from their next production at Daneside Theatre.

Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Margaret Gartside said: “I’m looking forward to hosting a special afternoon filled with fun, food, and friends whilst raising funds for local good causes. If you can’t join me on the day then why not buy a raffle ticket or two instead?! The prizes are fabulous and range from a luxury hamper, theatre tickets, dining out vouchers, pamper sets, chocolates & much more! Tickets cost just £2 (cash only please) from the Congleton Information Centre. Thank you to all the local businesses, organisations, groups and individuals for donating the generous prizes.”

Tickets can be reserved over the phone and collected from the Congleton Information Centre inside the Town Hall. Call into reception or tel: 01260 270350 (ext. 1) or email: info@congleton-tc.gov.uk
