The once-colourful lamppost flags on Mountbatten Way, Congleton are due to be taken down soon, having been up a year longer than first intended. Congleton Town Council is looking to replace the flags with bright new designs reflecting the town aspirations and is interested to hear from companies keen to sponsor such a flag.
Local communications experts, TMC Creative, has agreed to create four new designs for the flags free of charge and it is hoped that all 28 will sites will be filled.
Town Centre and Marketing Manager, Jackie MacArthur said: “Mountbatten Way looks fantastic in the summer with all the flowers, but the banners help to add all year round colour and interest. The current flags have been great, but are now well past their best and the company that installed them has given us notice that they need to come down. It would be great to see them replaced with new flags. Clearly we will be contacting all the previous sponsors of banners, but also want to make sure that other businesses and organisations are aware of this offer to show their support for the town.”
The flags will cost £149 + vat each. Sponsoring companies will get to display their logo or name on the flag. For further information or to register an interest contact Jackie MacArthur on 01260 270350 ext 3 or firstname.lastname@example.org
