David McGifford has taken over as the Chief Officer for the Town Council following the retirement of Brian Hogan. Brian has been the Town Clerk since December 2009, during which time he has been responsible for some big changes for the Town Council including taking on the Streetscape services. David is well known to many of the businesses and community groups in Congleton having previously worked on tourism and regeneration for South East Cheshire Enterprise and latterly as the Senior Regeneration Officer for Cheshire East Council.
