Learn Congleton defibrillators

Free Defibrillator training for residents

Congleton Lions and Congleton Partnership are jointly sponsoring a Resuscitation and Defibrillator Training event on:

Tuesday 12 October from 10.00am- 12 noon at Congleton Library.

This FREE session is designed to teach local residents the essential skills for using a defibrillator and gives people the confidence to know what to do in an emergency. The training will be carried out by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) Community Resuscitation Team.

Due to limited numbers booking is essential. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. To book, contact the Congleton Information Centre. Tel: 01260 270350 ext 1.

An open session will he held in the afternoon in the Main Library from 1.00pm-2.30pm. No need to book, just turn up! The NWAS team will be on hand to offer more information and talk to people about resuscitation and defibrillators.

Congleton Lions and Congleton Partnership have recently installed two more 24/7 public access defibrillators, located on the ground floor of Congleton library, off the bus station and outside the public conveniences at Congleton Park. These are the third and fourth 24×7 accessible defibrillators to be installed since working with NWAS, who have been fully supportive of the project.

Congleton Lions President Pat Mart said “This is truly Congleton Lions working in partnership for the benefit of the local community with the Town Council and Congleton Partnership. We are delighted to be increasing the number of defibrillators and are busy working on future plans for more across the town.”
