Congleton is bursting with colour and creativity this summer as Congleton Town Council and Congleton in Bloom team up to deliver a season of fun, free activities for all ages—celebrating the town’s love for nature, community, and wellbeing.
Trail sheets for the Flower Finding Trail and Love Your Parks Scavenger Hunt can be picked up from Congleton Information Centre or download and print at home:
From 24 July to 7 August, families can take part in the Flower Finding Trail across Congleton town centre. Spot colourful flower clues in shop windows, collect the letters to reveal a secret message, and claim a free seed planting kit at the end.
As part of Love Parks Week (25 July–3 August), there’s even more reason to enjoy Congleton’s awarding winning Park. Follow the Nature Scavenger Hunt, explore the Bee Garden, and tick off plants and pollinators you spot. Bring your completed sheet to Congleton Information Centre and receive a free packet of seeds to grow at home.
These family-friendly events support this year’s RHS Britain in Bloom theme, which highlights the importance of the connection between people, plants, and mental health.
And it’s not just fun and flowers—Congleton is proudly representing the North West in the 2025 RHS Britain in Bloom UK Finals, competing in the Best Overall Large Town category. The town will be judged on: 24 July for North West in Bloom, and 7 August for Britain in Bloom.
The town is aiming for its fifth Gold award after years of impressive results. Local volunteers, community groups, and the Streetscape team have worked tirelessly to make Congleton look its best.
Congleton in Bloom Chair, Cllr David Brown, said: “Congleton’s floral displays and green spaces are a true reflection of our community pride and teamwork. These summer activities bring people together and remind us of how much joy nature can bring to our lives. We are honoured to represent the North West and grateful to everyone who plays a part in making our town bloom.”
Everyone is welcome to support the ongoing work by joining the monthly Town Tidies, held on the first Saturday of each month from 10am–12pm. For updates and volunteer opportunities, visit the Congleton in Bloom Facebook page.
