Half Term Activities
Live Science Shows- The Dark Side of the Universe. Have you ever wondered what dark matter is? Discover how the visible can appear invisible and why galaxies should fly apart. Interactive displays and experiments, suitable for all the family- free with general admission.
Under 5’s Journey Through The Solar System- a journey through the solar system, on the way stopping at some of the planets to discover what they sound, smell, look and feel like. Designed for children aged 3-5 years and will last approximately 20 minutes. Free with general admission.
Telescope Walks- join a walk around the base of the Lovell telescope and find out more about how the grade 1 telescope works, its history and some of its ground-breaking research. Tours at 11.00am & 2.30pm. Suitable for ages 10+ – free with general admission.
Meet The Expert from 1.00pm – a chance to meet one of the resident and astronomy experts, find out about their work and knowledge of Jodrell Bank. All ages welcome but shows are recommended for ages 7 years and over- free with general admission.
