Exciting Drama Opportunities at the Old Saw Mill

November 14, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Community drama company Tea and Bee, now working in Congleton, are eager to set up a drama group in the local area and are inviting interested parties to attend a taster session on Tuesday 14th of November from 1:30 – 2:30pm at the Old Saw Mill.

Run by Lucie Jowitt and Tim Grieveson, the aim of Tea and Bee is to bring communities together and upskill individuals using theatre film and the arts. They maintain that everyone should be able to participate and engage in the arts, especially those communities and individuals who may otherwise have barriers to prevent them.

With 20 years combined experience behind them working with people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds and communities, Lucie and Tim, as theatre and film directors respectively, are excited to embark on this new initiative in Congleton,

At the end of a course of 10-week workshops, where participants will be involved in some aspect of creating the theatre piece, whether as writers, actors or behind the scenes, the drama will be filmed professionally and shown locally and possibly further afield. The main focus of the session will be on confidence connection collaboration and creativity.

Tea and Bee are inviting anyone who has an interest in theatre, irrespective of age or ability, to come along on 14th November to find out more about the project, and are particularly keen to welcome people with additional needs.

Please telephone the Old Saw Mill on 01260 277658 to leave your contact details.
