75 years of the NHS celebrated at the OSM

In celebration of 75 years of the NHS, the members of the COngleton Writers’ Forum will be holding a reading at the Old Saw Mill Café on Friday 10th November entitled: 75 Years Not Out

Themes range from how the NHS came about to its continuing role in the 21st century, as well as accounts of personal experiences, some positive, challenging or just hilarious.

Hear about the lonely widow who frequents an A&E department or the immigrant clinician with healing hands or the scalpel-happy gynaecologist. there is something for everyone in the solourful mix of poerty, prose and fact delivered with polish and panache by the writers thmselves.

Booking is essential at teh Old Saw Mill on 01260 277658. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start. Tickets are priced at £8 to include a glass of wine, and the famous OSM cakes will be available for purchase. So sit back listen and enjoy.
