Easter in Congleton 2019

Congleton Town Council is planning some egg-cellent fun and games in the Town Centre on Tuesday 9th April from 10.30am-1.30pm to mark the start of the school Easter holidays.

Key attractions include the Dino-Disco Adventure Challenge with “Greg- The Dancing Dino” who will be in the Town Centre from 11.30am with his Ranger, who will teach everyone the 4 key skills for being a Dino Ranger. Greg and the Ranger will then teach you the Dino dance and chant for you all to join in, along with some dino themed puzzles, challenges and games. Click here to see more. Other attractions on the day will include; games, face painting, Easter themed arts and crafts with Kids Planet Nursery and much more.

The Easter Treats Play Day will also see the launch of Congleton’s “Hop Around the Shops” Easter Egg Hunt. There’s no need to race off and hare around the shops, as the hunt runs until Tuesday 23rd April. The Hop around the Shops has been designed by Congleton Town Council with support from local traders to be a fun, free, family activity during the Easter Holidays. All you need to do is visit 24 out of the 28 businesses listed, spot the Easter bunny in their shop, let the staff know where it is and collect a stamp from each. When you have collected enough stamps, you can swap the booklet for an Easter Treat at the Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall. Each person who has collected 24 or more stamps, and completed his/her details on the back of the form by the closing date, will be entered into a prize draw- one lucky entry will then win a special first-place prize! Make sure to come along and pick up a leaflet so you can “Hop to it!”

Easter Service- Congleton churches will be coming together for an Easter Service in the Town Centre on Good Friday, 19th April. A parade bringing in the cross will form up at Trinity Church, Wagg Street at 11.50am and the service will be held at “Woolies Wall” opposite B&M in the Town Centre at mid-day. All welcome.
