Learn Congleton defibrillators

Countdown to Food & Drink

Congleton Town Centre will be buzzing with flavour and festivity as the Food & Drink Festival returns this Sunday 8 June, from 10.30am–4.30pm. Organised by Congleton Town Council, the free event will feature over 70 stalls offering street food, artisan produce, sweet treats, and craft drinks across High Street, Swan Bank, Mill Street, and the pedestrian area.

New for 2025, visitors can enjoy a hands-on Focaccia Bread Workshop held inside Congleton Town Hall, hosted by expert bakers from The Speckled Hen Bakery. Tickets are priced at just £5 per person and offer participants the chance to learn the art of making artisan focaccia. Places can be booked in advance online at: www.ticketsource.co.uk/congleton-town-council, or visitors can enquire at the Information Centre on the day to check for last-minute availability.

There’ll be live music, street performances, and a bustling Market Quarter with added entertainment and stalls thanks to Independent Street. Accessibility features include a quiet zone at the The Space, courtesy of TMC, accessible toilets in the Town Hall, and limited pre-bookable Blue Badge parking.

A number of road closures will be in place from 6am-6pm. These include High Street, Moody Street, top of Market Street into High Street, Mill Street and Swan Bank. Temporary changes to traffic flow will also be in effect at the bottom of Canal Street (right turn only into High Street) and from Kinsey Street (left turn only into Lawton Street).

Congleton Town Council thanks this year’s festival sponsors—Beartown Brewery, Bridestone Shopping Centre, Congleton Market Quarter, Howden’s, and Independent Street—for helping make this popular event possible.
