‘Centenary Celebration’ on 27 May

Congleton War Memorial Hospital ‘Centenary Celebration’ Bank Holiday Monday 27 May,12pm-5pm, Congleton Park

Get ready to revel in the spirit of the Roaring Twenties to celebrate 100 years of Congleton’s Hospital. To honour this momentous milestone everyone is invited to join in the festivities, featuring a 1920s swing band, live music, traditional games, RSPCA dog show, side stalls, food and drink, a charity hospital bed race!

Established in 1924 and opened by HRH Duke of York (later King George VI), the hospital holds a significant place in the town’s history. East Cheshire NHS Trust encourages local residents to contribute their cherished memories of the hospital to an online portal.
