Congleton Community Drive-In Carol Service

Sunday 13th December, 6.00pm (arriving from 5.30pm), at Tesco Car Park, Barn Road, CW12 1LR

With the support and cooperation of Tesco Congleton, Churches in Congleton are holding a drive in Christmas carol celebration to which an open invitation is extended to people throughout the local community.

Joy to the World will be one of the carols and in these days of Covid 19 restrictions it is hoped there will be a full car park to enjoy the singing of traditional carols led by members of the Rode Hall Silver Band, listen to the ageless familiar Christmas story read from The Bible by The Town Mayor Coun. Sally Ann Holland and local Member of Parliament, Fiona Bruce and be inspired with a short Christmas address by guest speaker Andy Hawthorne OBE of The Message Trust.

Also included will be a special interactive telling of the Christmas story for children so there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Full risk assessments are being undertaken, traffic management will be run by members of Congleton Rotary Club and singing will be allowed, family bubbles socially distanced of course.

Everybody needs to wrap up warm, in festive attire if possible, but remain inside their cars with windows down. The service will be signed for those who are hard of hearing.

The current restrictions have led to many new initiatives and similar events are being held all over the UK.

Join in and enjoy the true spirit of Christmas.
