Congleton Christmas Toy Appeal 2020

Thank for the toys that have already been delivered to the Town Hall for the Chronicle and NSPCC Toy Appeal. They are going to make some local children very happy this Christmas! You can drop NEW toys to the Town Hall Mon – Friday, 9.30 – 4.30, to Chris Hamriding Estate Agents in Congleton on a Saturday and to Boots Barn Road. This appeal has been running for 20 years and the Town Council is delighted to step in and help as a collection point this year when the Chronicle offices are closed.

Town Mayor Sally Ann Holland said:  “Congleton Town Council is delighted to be able to support the long-established Chronicle and NSPCC Toy Appeal during this difficult year. Over the past 20 years the team has established a proven track record of getting the toys to those who need it most. This year we anticipate that the need will be even greater, so if you can afford it please purchase an extra new toy for a child in Congleton. Toys can be dropped off at the Town Hall from Monday to Friday from 9.30am – 4.30pm. If the Town Hall door is closed, please call: 01260 270350 ext 1 and a member of staff will take the gift from you. When the Visitor Information Centre is able to reopen toys can be left in the box here. On Saturdays toys can be handed in at Chris Hamriding Estate Agents on the High Street in between the Town Hall and the Chronicle office. You can also donate at the large Boots at Barn Road. This is a great cause and I hope people in Congleton will feel able to support it.”
