Christmas Windows of Congleton

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Congleton! 26 shops entered this year’s Congleton Christmas Window competition which was judged the day before the town switched on it Christmas lights.

After much debate the winners were declared as Butters John Bee, an estate agents in the pedestrian area. Second place went to Town Bathrooms and third place to Davenports Menswear shop, both in the High Street.

Geoff Baggott, Chairman of the Congleton Traders Group said: “It was fantastic to see so many shops dress their windows ahead of the lights switch on, making Congleton an even more festive place for all our customers. Since the switch-on event even more shops have decorated their windows which along with the Christmas lights really adds to the atmosphere in town. If you’ve not been in to Congleton town for a while come in and take a look!”

In addition to the three winners the judges awarded Highly Commended to the following: Bare Health, B&M Bargains, Bryans, Cancer Research, Damand, Francesco’s Hairdressers, Gallery Hairdressers, House to Home, No 1 West Street, RJ & J Moore Greengrocers,  Shakeeze, Timothy Brown, The Hearing Centre, YMCA and High Town Post Office and Curtains By Design in High Town.
