A big turnout is expected in Congleton Town Centre on Friday 24 November for the popular Christmas Lights Switch-On.
With High Street, Mill Street and Swan Bank closed to traffic, entertainment starts at 4pm ready for the big switch on at 6pm. The evening will be packed full of free entertainment and lots of Christmas cheer for the whole family.
Meet the beautiful and cared for Cairngorm Reindeers, visit Santa in his grotto (at the Cygnet Club), shop for great Christmas gifts from the craft stalls and support the local community groups. Winter warmers and festive tipples available from the food and drink vendors.
The traditional lantern parade will be taking a new route this year, gathering at 5.20pm at the bottom of Mill Street. Entertainment on the main stage includes Rode Hall Silver Band and new for 2023 an Ed Sheeran/Lewis Capaldi/George Ezra tribute act!
