All change at the Town Council

Congleton Town Council would like to thank all the councillors who served from 2015- 2019 for their hard work, dedication and efforts. We would also like to welcome the new councillors who have been elected to serve from 2019- 2023. Town Councillors are not paid for the time that they give (apart from the Mayor who receives a £3,000 allowance to help cover costs of representing the town for the year) and nothing was claimed via members expenses in 2018-2019. For those who either chose not to re-stand or who weren’t re-elected we wish them well for the future and are sure that they will continue to make a positive contribution to the town.

Congleton Town Council is now made up of seven Liberal Democrat councillors, six Conservative councillors, six independent councillors and one women’s equality party councillor.
