Dementia Buddy Scheme

Are you worried about a loved one with Dementia wandering off on their own? The Good Deeds Trust have set up the Dementia Buddy Guardian Angel devices to help support families and carers looking after someone living with Dementia.

Look out for these devices on anyone looking distressed, they are yellow and blue with the Guardian Angel logo, typically worn as a wristband, pin badge, zip tag or keyring. Once identified, these can be scanned by a smartphone (operating with NFC technology) and the person’s first name and emergency contact will be displayed, enabling you to contact their carer.

Congleton Partnership are working with Congleton Lions and The Good Deeds Trust to bring the Dementia Buddy Guardian Angel devices to Congleton. Funding from Conlgeton Lions means that the first device ordered will come free for people with a CW12 postcode.
