Learn Congleton defibrillators

Thank you to NHS Staff

Last week the Congleton Chronicle printed a photograph sent in by Tina McCarthy of a sign saying ‘To all NHS Staff – thank you all from Congleton Town, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. This sign has been spotted in several locations around the town, and I’m proud to say it was the initiative of one of the Town Council’s Streetscape Team, Andy Turnock. This team has continued to empty the 170+ public bins, keep the streets clean and carry out a limited amount of grounds maintenance work during the lock down. Many of the team are coming in extra early to continue with their roles when there are fewer people around. Please can you help reduce the strain on this small team by not dropping litter when going out for your daily exercise or essential journey and making sure that you place your dog poo bags in the bins provided.

I too would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all key workers for the fantastic work you are doing to keep our society going, and to everyone who has been heeding Government advice to stay at home and only venture out for essential journeys or their daily exercise.

Yours sincerely, Conleton Town Mayor Cllr Sally Ann Holland
