Congleton Town Council is reminding families to join in the spooky fun this half-term, with a mix of free and ticketed activities taking place across the town.
The ever-popular Halloween Trail returns from Saturday 25 October to Saturday 1 November 2025, supported by more than 40 local businesses. Families are invited to hunt for spooky clues hidden in shop windows, uncover a secret message, and return their completed trail sheet to the Congleton Information Centre to claim a treat.
The trail is free to join and offers a fantastic way to explore the high street, support local shops, and enjoy a family day out. Trail leaflets can be collected from the Information Centre or downloaded at home via: Haunted Halloween Half-Term – Congleton Town Council
Meanwhile, tickets for Witchy Wednesday at Congleton Town Hall on Wednesday 29 October have now sold out. The event is packed with family-friendly activities, from pumpkin carving and crafts to cake decorating and a fancy-dress competition. If you’ve booked a ticket but your plans change, please cancel your ticket so that another child can benefit.
Rachel McCarthy, Congleton Town Centre and Events Officer, said: “Halloween in Congleton is always a highlight for local families. This year, with the return of the town centre trail and the fun of Witchy Wednesday in the Town Hall, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We hope the celebrations will bring plenty of people into Congleton to join in the seasonal fun.”
