Paddling Pool Now Open!

Congleton Town Council is delighted to announce that Congleton Paddling Pool is now open for the summer season, running through to Sunday 31 August 2025.

The paddling pool has been a favourite with families since the 1930s and continues to offer free, safe, and splash-filled fun for children aged 11 and under.

During term time, the pool is open Wednesday to Sunday (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). During school holidays, it opens seven days a week. The pool operates two sessions:

  • Morning session: 10am-1pm
  • Afternoon session: 2pm-5pm

No booking is required for general public sessions. Entry is free, on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum capacity of 140 people per session. Once the pool reaches capacity, visitors will be asked to wait until space becomes available.

Councillor Robert Brittain, Town Mayor of Congleton, said: “The paddling pool is a true community gem that brings joy to hundreds of children and families every summer. It’s a place where memories are made – and the fact that it remains completely free and accessible to all is something Congleton is incredibly proud of.”

In partnership with Ruby’s, the pool will once again host exclusive SEND sessions for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, every Wednesday morning during the school holidays. The pool will re-open for general admission from 2pm-5pm.

The five sessions will take place on the following Wednesdays from 10am–1pm: 23 July, 30 July, 6 August, 13 August, 20 August. These sessions are designed to offer a calm and supportive environment, open to SEND children and their immediate families. Spaces are limited and tickets are free, released online by Ruby’s each Monday at 7pm for that week’s session.
