New Beartown Buses

Next week new Beartown buses will be taking to the streets of Congleton on the existing 90, 91 and 92 circular routes around the town.Built and finished to a high specification, the new buses have comfortable leather seats, free wifi, seat belts and passenger information screens, and each headrest has an embroidered Beartown logo. The new buses are more environmentally friendly, lighter and more fuel efficient 8.9m Enviro 200 models developed by Alexander Dennis’ world leading engineering teams to improve economy.Said Stephen Bryce, GHA General Manager “We are pleased to be investing in new vehicles to improve our passenger’s journeys.

We hope we can tempt more people out of their cars and on to our new buses, and that the new Beartown buses will bring a smile to people’s faces.”As well as a new ‘Bear Hug’ group saver ticket for five people, max 2 adults, under 12s will be able to travel with an adult free of charge until the end of April if they bring their teddy bear.New GHA Gold buses are also being introduced on the 42 service which runs from Congleton through Middlewich and Holmes Chapel to Crewe. Already in service on the Knutsford to Altrincham 88 service, GHA Gold has seen an upsurge in passenger numbers with more people happy to adopt the smart new buses as their preferred way to travel.
