Learn Congleton defibrillators

Homes for Ukraine Hosts Evening

Friday 27 January, Congleton Town Hall, 6.30pm-8.30pm

The town council is organising a ‘Hosts’ evening at the Town Hall for current hosts or anyone considering hosting under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. The evening is an opportunity to get an update on how the scheme is going in the Congleton area, share experiences with other hosts, ask an expert panel some questions, get tips on how to help your guests learn English from an ESOL teacher and learn a few helpful Ukrainian words and phrases. Nibbles and drinks provided.
This event is intended for hosts rather than Ukrainian guests, and is for adults only.

Please book a free ticket via Eventbrite: ‘Homes for Ukraine’ Congleton Area Hosts Evening
Please register each person who is coming so we get an idea of numbers.

Congleton Town Council continues to take an active role in the Congleton Area Ukraine Support Network. This group is based in Congleton and the surrounding villages and is a group of volunteers who want to make the lives of displaced Ukrainian Families a little better each day.

It seeks to promote joined up efforts by existing charities, local authorities, communities, and those in the scheme, and to develop a social network for sponsors and their guests so that all involved in the scheme can thrive.

The aims of the group are to support guests and sponsors in the Congleton area, involved in the UK Government’s “Homes for Ukraine” visa scheme. This starts with helping to match families to Hosts and then providing support in all areas to ensure the guests can feel safe and welcome, making a difference to their lives everyday.
