Congleton is extremely proud of its fantastic park, which is a five minute walk from the town centre. The park is managed by Cheshire East Council and has an active Friends group. Facilities include a play park for toddlers and junior children, bowling green, bandstand, Jubilee Pavilion, toilets, town wood with restored paths, skate park (at the back of the Leisure Centre), numerous benches - many of which face the River Dane which surrounds two sides of the park.

Congleton ParkThe park was originally designed by Edward Kemp and was opened on the 29 May 1871. The park was restored to its former glory thanks to a heritage grant in 2004/5.

Town Wood on the northern edge of the park is a Grade A Site of Biological Interest and contains many nationally important plants. Walks throughout the wood change monthly as there is always something new to see with the changing seasons and the views across the park and town can be spectacular.
