The Town Council employes four full-time and eight part-time members of staff to carry out its duties. It also enlists the services of Peter Cooper, a Change Management Consultant and a team of seasonal paddling pool attendants.

Town Clerk - Brian Hogan has recently joined the Town Council as Town Clerk and holds a Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiCLA). He is employed full time and oversees all the workings of the Town Council.

Support Manager - Jackie Potts took up the new role of Support Manager in April 2008. Jackie works 30 hours a week and is particularly responsible for the smooth running of the committees, the office and the finances. Jackie is not usually in the office on a Friday.

Administrative Officer - Linda Minshull assists Brian Hogan and Jackie Potts and takes particular responsibility for the Mayor' diary, the Mayor' events, sending out grant information and the Youth Council. Linda works 21 hours a week, usually 9-3pm Monday - Wednesday.

Administrative Assistant - Sheron Clarke also assists Brian and Jackie, and has responsibilities for committee agendas and minutes. Sheron works 21 hours - usually on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Town Centre and Marketing Manager - Jackie MacArthurs' role developed from Marketing, Communications and Admin to this new role in March 2008. Jackie is responsible for the Town Council communications, promoting the town and working with partners organisations to improve the town centre. Jackie works 27 hours a week - and is not usually in the office on a Wednesday.

Facilities Manager - Chris Jones is responsible for the smooth running of the Town Hall, Paddling Pool and Congleton Allotments as well as co-ordinating the two Town Handy Men. This is a full time role and Chris can be contacted on cj@congletontowncouncil.co.uk
