Congleton in Bloom seeks Local People’s Views

The Congleton in Bloom team is keen to hear the views of people living and working in Congleton as it puts plans in place to try and win the North West in Bloom competition for the fourth time in five years.

The team has produced an online questionnaire asking local people for their opinions on the In Bloom initiative, to work out what is most important for local people,  which parts of the In Bloom initiative are most appreciated, where improvements can be made and which of the green open spaces and garden areas people are aware of and use. The questionnaire can be down loaded at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2017-CinB There are also paper copies available in the Tourist Information Centre, Astbury Mere Visitors Centre and at the Old Saw Mill on Back River Street.

Congleton In Bloom was formed in 1998 and has been the driving force behind many physical improvements to the town over the years, from tidying up green spaces to introducing colour and greenery to areas. Its sister Group Buglawton in Bloom was formed in 2003 and in the past few years a number of new In Bloom It’s Your Neighbourhoods have set up and proved very successful in improving areas of Congleton.

In 2016 Congleton was awarded gold in the national finals of the Britain in Bloom competition and won the large town category of the North West in Bloom competition. As Congleton was in the National finals in 2016 it cannot be entered into the 2017 finals. The In Bloom team would love to see Congleton win the North West in Bloom again in 2017 and be in the National finals for its 20th birthday in 2018!

Local people have until 31st January to complete the In Bloom Survey.
