East Cheshire Hospice cares for adults suffering from life-limiting illnesses from which there is no cure. They care for the whole person, aiming to meet all needs, whether they are medical, emotional or spiritual or around the challenges of daily-living. They support families and carers throughout what is often a difficult period.

The Stroke Unit at Macclesfield Hospital

Strokes can occur at any age and often result in a loss of mobility, speech and brain damage. The Stroke Unit at Macclesfield Hospital care for many highly dependent patients who require assistance to be lifted out of beds, chairs, baths etc.

Help for Heroes Mercian Regiment

help-for-heroes.jpgHelp for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The message of the charity is simple, they believe that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better.
